Beautiful morning to get out. Left my dock at 6:15am and was set up at McFaul shoal at 6:45. Was nice and bright so we decided to go with wonder breat spoon behind wonder bread flasher, green fly and alligator SD, watermellon spoon and a black/purple Nasty Buoy. (Typically I would set up one black/chrome SD and tow an MC Rocket behind it). Set up in 110 FOW, one rigger set at 90 and the other at 75.
7:30 the deep rod goes (fly/SD). Just over 23lbs. Thought this was going to be a big day. Troll towards the Bonnet and it fires again. Felt good but lost it. Fun fighting it for a while. That's fishing.
That was it for the morning, had toget back to work. Lots of shatter over the radio from Salmon Point to the Bonnet. Everyone was having luck. Nice to see.
