Just wondering if anyone knows of any trout ponds in and around the belleville area, up around hwy 62 to Bancroft?
Was thinking about taking the little one to hook into a lunker we can take home for the BBQ.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks! Just called and got no answer. You've been here before? If so, how is the place? What do they charge?

Thanks again.

Wallyman - website is a 404, this will work: www.puresprings.ca but from the looks of it, it appears to be only for those who want to stock their own lake/pond, not to fish in.

Perchslayer666 - if you want a tasty meal, inquire if the trout pond operator feeds the fish naturally or with pellets. I've eaten trout from pellet-fed pond operations and they taste like silt - ugh; naturally-fed fish tends to taste better.

I hear you on that -,but where to find a naturally fed trout pond? Lol Ive had trout from many pellet fed ponds and they all tasted great smoked or pan fried.

But yeah, about pure springs, I believe they do not offer public fishing anymore. Ive Ben there in the past, and its a quality operation, caught some tasty specs and bows here... One the owners changed the public fishing ended. Oh well.

I'm interested to hear if anyone has been to the crazy creek trout ponds.

Thanks!!

I fished it a few years ago lots of fish specks or rainbow, can't remember how much it cost me. The bait no sooner hits the water you have several fish fighting for your bait,What ever you catch you have to keep no releasing for something bigger-smaller.

Just to update, we went to Pure Springs and they do allow public fishing!
Had a blast with our 2.5 year old, he didnt want to leave. The trout were quality, strong fight and fins were full and healthy looking. Derek is the main man there and he was great accommodating us. Cost was $4 per rod and $.55 per inch.
Highly recommended - get over there and get yourself some Trout!!!
