Quinte Fishing

Laker John called and asked me to go fishing, pretty windy-I said. They're dying down, we'll be fine.

Ok Said I and off we went, picked up the boat, got detoured around Picton with a run of a sort and finally got to the launch ramp. WHOA --- Big east winds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS Note to those wanting to use Long Point - small boats only!!!!!!!!

Too windy to launch there, so we headed back and there was a ramp sign, headed down and the ramp was a mess after the weeks storms, the owner cleared the ramp and we paid the fee and off we went.

It was still windy as we headed east for about an hour and we turned downwind - what a difference.

Trolled down to Smugglers Cove with no results. Water was 60 degs F.

First time fishing since mid August - it felt good to be out, results could have been better. Fishing beats watching the Jays get clobbered......
