I took my girlfriends brother Jim out for the day on Saturday. I was worried that his day would get cut short because of the high winds they were calling for. As luck has it they never got that bad and we stayed out until 4:30.
Well our day didn't start so great. We were struggling with the planner boards for about an 1/2 hour. They kept popping off of the line, so we decide to just flat line for awhile so I could check the clips on the boards. Not marking anything while messing around with the planner boards we just started at 100' back from the boat.
We trolled up to Kieths Shoal and around that area for about 4 hours then trolled down the shore line up to the point across from the cement plant and called it a day.
I always give the guest in my boat the first fish when trolling. This was Jim's first walleye in a very long time and a personal best for him

Here is a picture of my big fish.
My scale is not very accurate so I don't use it anymore. Anybody got any guess on what they wieghed?
We didn't catch a lot of fish but the 2 we did land were big, what more can you ask for. How often do ya tell somebody "You gotta come with me there are big fish here" and you take them out and they actually get to land a big one
What a way to end the season!
The only problem is both fish were the same size. So we can't argue on who's is larger LOL!
This is my first season fishing this area and I love it! Thank you eveybody for thier tips which helped me land 2 personal bests in 1 day
