Hello,

My name is Paul and I just moved here from southern Ontario. I have been fishing here all year searching for pickerel with limited success. I was wondering if the church or Ram Island are any good this time of year? Not looking for trophy fish just don't want to get skunked again! This Saturday will likely be my last time out.

I want to say thanks to all who all who contribute here. I have been following this forum since I moved here last year and it has given me a good foundation.

Paulo.

A couple years back got on a good late fall bite in the deep hole east side of ram using jigging raps and aggressively pumping them just off bottom. I was marking lots on the electronics.

Thanks for the info! I'll keep it in mind this weekend and post how I make out.

Why stop this weekend, the fall fishing is just starting.

Dan's advice is sound, if you're into jigging- you can troll from Thompsons Pt to Shermans and fish the deep trench up to the Shermans Launch ramp.

Lotsa luck

Perhaps all I need is a good day to extend my season!

Thanks for the tip, I have tried that route before with bb and worm harness and reef runner with no success. I will definitely give it a shot if ram island vacant!

fished TP and SP and Adopholous Reach with worm harness with minnows, reef runners and bucktail jigs (minnow tipped) n the from 6am to 2pm. We only landed 2 small perch early on the worm harness.
