City of Quinte West owns the access and they did not put that barrier up. I was taking a fella that lives nearby and he said that the barriers are illegal

I say the same thing about the quick short road in the county all the no parking signs put up by local people and county put up a sign this is wrong since tax paying dollars plow the road people should be able to park on the road unless its snowing and the plow needs to get down the road and that's maybe one time a day if they want to stop parking then they need to start plowing the road not the county

The call or calls must be working saw a city of Quinte West vehicle down by the barrier this morning when I was driving to work. I doubt it is area residents complaining they use the access to walk dogs etc. No reason for any complaints about ice fisherman since they always clean up after the season is complete and respect private property's

The way this El Nino is going, its going to be like back in '97...the only ice might probably be the ones that are in my scotch

Did we ever get on the ice in 97? I was still playing minor hockey back then and the ice under my skates was the only ice I was worried about.

Yes finally got answer today and its not good ,yes Quinte West does own property there but its along the water and is consider a green space which means no motorized vechicles ,they do have a easement at the end of the road but its walking trail only. The developer of that land owns the road and has the right to post the no parking signs and no trespassing you could still acess the trail but have no place to park,so another spot to acess the bay gone.
