Back to the old school ways for the walleyes only crew. Jigging at Thompsons point. 34 walleye caught all small but great fights form 46 feet of water. All fish released to swim another day. The troll fishing was slow based on all we talked to but we did spend a few hours hoping for a trophy fish. 1.8 mph for four hours and not a bite. lures are now washed and the trophy is still swimming safely. Great weekend weather water temp was 43 to 48 depending on location. Boat has been parked but we might wait to winterize. The bite will only get better as the temps get colder.

Great results snarfy. End of October ,early November we were jigging there and wondering why nobody else was. We only got catfish and gave up and went trolling where only one 8 pounder and a 2 pound white bass was boated.

Did you get any cats mixed in, just wondering ??

We had one big perch and one white bass mixed in with the walleye. We would have caught a lot more fish but we ran out of minnows.
Note: Friends in another boat also got a mess of small Walleye and a few perch mixed in. Thompsons point was a great idea Wayne O Mac!
