i mostly jig and target Walleye do not troll much but if i did i would probably use Mono in the 10-12 lbs range

I've been a fireline guy for years, like the 6-8lbs tipped with 8lbs fluro. I like the sensitivity of braid and non stretch for instant hook set but i have dabbled with pure fluorocarbon with good results and frustrations. I like the hook set of floro but the line memory can be frustrating. Braid has its own challenges as the weather get below zero it tends to freeze but i am use to it so its not as bid a deal to me. Just curious what others use

I dont jig much anymore, but use 10lb suffix 8/32 when I do. Works great, as long as temps are above zero. Used powerpro original for a decade before switching over. Both lines are very good. I like seaguar invisx XT 8 or 10lb for leader, but often go without one. Trolling reels are spooled with 30lb 8/32 as well with 5' seaguar invisx xt leaders 15lb. 20lb if I'm bumping cranks off bottom. After using braid almost exclusively for 15 years, I dont even know how to fish with mono anymore. Never used any Fluoro as a main line without memory issues. As far as what the best line for jigging freezing temps..i have no idea.

I troll a lot and have my planer board reels spooled with 15# P-Line CX premium hi-vis fluorescent green (same diameter as 10# mono used in Precision Trolling dive curves) as my old eyes are better able to see where the lines are running. I use Berkley Trilene Transoptic on my other trolling set ups for the same reason. I also have 2 lead core set ups spooled with Suffix 832 Advance lead core.

Jigging/spinning reels are spooled with Suffix 832 - 8#.
