Went out Sat AM to assist in the requirements for the campground fishfry, fished in Mallory Bay for an hour and a quarter, Struck out over there.

Came back around Thompson Pt, 18 boats fishing the south shore weedline. I had heard that people had done well there the previous weekend, Decided to troll a bit.

Hit a fish in the first 50 feet of the troll in 16 feet of water, using a Florescent Red blade on the Uzick Spinner. In summation, had a total of five fish, retaining four (15-17") for the fishfry, releasing tiny one. This took 30 minutes to accomplish. The bite was on for me. Went back to camp at 1100.

Talked to some friends from Kingston and they had landed a dozen.

Sunday AM was windy and Grey, tried to get back to the same area but the winds made us travel slower, fished the Old Church Launch weedline and then made it part way to that weed line at Thompsons, when the thunder and lightening was all around us, Head for the hills, Got drowned passing Perfect Vue, back in as the rain stopped - had to dry off.

Out Sunday evening for a couple of hours, winds still high and not able to finess the weedlines as I would have liked. I believe the storm probably put the fish Down.

If you find em, they're taking. God - you have to like that Uzick Spinner, clones are coming off the lure bench............... we'll see if they have the same magic.

Tight Lines

We'll be heading up in two weeks, and I'm glad to hear things are getting better.

A friend of mine was up last weekend also. They fished in the Reach... especially by the underwater cable. They limited and suprizingly threw back a few in the slot as well. They are heading back this coming weekend in hope of a repeat performance.

WOW! Could it be the lower water level is helping get the bigger "Lard-Butts" in a feeding mood?

We'll see in two weeks and will post we I get back. :?:[/code]
