My buddy, Cymbals and I both had family commitments this past weekend so we decided to go Friday afternoon even though it was very windy and absolutely pouring rain. I had to use a drift sock to slow my 17 foot boat because of the wind. Launched in Picton and headed out to the cement plant area. My engine was acting up and would just quit on me. We decided to head back into Picton Bay. It was a good decision as within an hour we had 4 fish between 6 and 12 lbs. Would of stayed all night but by 4:30 we were soaked and by hands could hardly hold onto my pole.

Wind - 25-km N.E.
Area - Picton Bay
lures - Husky Jerk Blue/ silver/orange and clown
line - 10 lb long lining
Status - released

hey way to go!! $ fish in an hour is pretty good. I agree with Ranger guy where are the pictures?? Will you be out again? I am hoping to go this sunday for the day but will have to see if this cold snap turns the water hard. Did you see other boats out? Thanks for the report.
