Quinte Fishing

I am wondering if anyone can help me out. I bought a showdown 2.0 last winter and loved it. Worked great! ...however, i am ready to head out after i stored it all summer as per directions, andnow it wont power down. I have seen some complaints about this on internet, and i hope i havent made a mistake buying this. I did research before purchase, and seemed great. Please give some advice as i know there is alot of experiance here,. ....i also know i will likly get..should have bought a velex, or humminbird. I kinow... any help? Any other marcum guys out there?

I also did a search. It appears to be a common problem. The recommendation is to send it back to Marcum for repair. Most users are unplugging unit to turn it off, then waiting to end of fishing season to send it back to manufacture. Doesn't seem to be a quick fix available.

I have a Vexilar. It turns on and off fine.
