It's a great idea but unfortunately licences, insurance etc will be a headache trust me. It's to bad that crap gets in the way cause it's a great idea and one that most anglers wish they could access on any body of water they fish. I was fishing Rideau river a few years back around the 416 bridge and was surprised to see a pontoon boat/ ice cream boat. Apparently he is there most of July and August. Pretty cool. He was anchored and had fenders on both sides to pull up along side. Was a great break from the hot sun. Also like big Rideau lake out of Portland for the same reason. Restaurant right at the launch with good parking for several boats. It's nice as you get older to take a break at noonish before the afternoon bite kicks in. I wish you luck, I've always wanted to try that myself but know the red tape bull that comes with it. Maybe you just offer up your deep fryer or BBQ for a " rental fee" same price you would charge and we bring our own fish or dogs, might get around a few of the obstacles! Then you just sell the chips, chocolate bars and drinks?

You could give just give the foods away to the "feed the starving fisherman" charity and have a donation jar listing donation amounts to support your cause.

Don't get too discouraged jkd....there are chip trucks and hotdog carts all over the place ( not on the water). I think it's a great idea and very doable.
Good luck.
I would stop in for sure.

Ya I guess you guys are right....red tape, insurance, licenses, inspections, laws and regulations....not the kind of thing anyone with a house, a boat, multiple vehicles, possibly firearms, that hunts or fishes would ever be able to deal with.

Thanks again for the feedback this will be our first season at the new place, I'll definitely looking into getting something set up for everyone to use in time.

It would be a great place for bored kids to stop, eat, play around for lunch and then head back out.
