What are your thoughts on the cold front moving in, will it make enough ice to safely get back out

The math from that website says using the Ashton model that the ice will be 8" by the 17th of February. That does NOT take into account moving water, sunlight, cloud cover, snow cover and etc. It assumes you start with a thin skim of ice. Note this does not mean you will add 8 inches of ice to existing ice. Ice growth is slower once you have ice. As always, the only way to know for sure is to test it yourself and test often. Areas with current can have much thinner ice than still water. For example, Hay Bay grows ice with minimal current, and is often substantially thicker than other places.
