I'm hoping to come up tomorrow for what will be my only trip of the season. I usually go to huff's and a spot south of Huff's every year. Am I wasting my time by driving there tomorrow? Is the ice too sketchy out of there now? Is there even ice left there after this weekend? I would appreciate any feedback either by pm or as a reply on here. I have a 4 hour drive to come up is all and just don't want to be wasting my time and fuel if the ice isn't there. Thanks.

Was there yesterday, not a sole out there. Put on all the safety gear, picks etc. and spudded out, about 4" 75' from shore and once I hit the darker ice, about 100' from shore there was only 2", turned back, too thin for me with the current that is at Huffs.

I was there yesterday as well. 11:00am. Not a single person on the ice, and I was solo, so turned around and left.
