Has anyone used a Sebile vibrato through the ice? I've tried it with no results. Are you suppose to tip it with a minnow head? Any info would be greatly appreciated

I've used the vibrato lots with good results. U first need to swap out the galvanized hooks they come with to some better trebles and sometimes I tip with 2 minnow heads or run it clean. It's a good bait!

No problem! The D9 1/2oz has been my best producer.

Guys, I purchased 6 sebile vibratos last season. They are beautiful lures that ended up costing close to $15 each from what I remember. Quinte walleye do like these lures. I also upgrade the trebles to some made by Owner. Even though the fish love this lure, I do not like the way this lure hooks the edge of the ice, like a magnet. I have lost as many fish at the hole, as I have caught. I also had a bad morning at Huffs last year when I broke off on fish on the hook sets. Lost $30 in lures in 20 minutes. Guys I was fishing with are still bugging me about my bad knot tying. I thought Palomar knots were the best. Not that day. BATMAN

When I watched Jim Gillespie use them and swear by them, he never used anything but the lure.

His show "Waters & Woods" used to be on WFN. Haven't seen it in a while. He made a new show every week.

His web site shows he made a show Feb 20-21 jigging for browns.

He's using Vibrato's

Guys,

I bought the Vibratos because of Jim Gillespie. It is definitely his favourite lure.

What a nice guy. I love to watch his show.

That's why I bought them as well. John Gillespie had a lot of success with them. He is quite the character and you gotta love the dance they do at the end of the show.

Ok. Gonna leave the sebile vibrato on all weekend. Any tips on how to fish it? Work it the same way as a spoon?

I'm no expert, but I just twitch it and give it a lil jiggy every once in a while.
