I would think you can get a chart for BOQ anywhere that you can get your american charts, it's chart 2006 upper gap to telagragh narrows for the Picton area and 2007 for the Bellville area.

My luck in May is usually all or nothing, best at night and the hot lure never the same as the year before but usually big and not too deep. You can count on the worse the weather the better the fishing and as soon as your on fish the I'm cold, I want to go home starts up from the crew.

You should be able to get a card for your Lowarance..I got one for my Garmin. I am also from the Watertown area...fishing Lake Ontario in the Spring...I think you will find that the fishing at the Bay is a little different...the way we catch them in the Spring is the way you catch them in the fall in the Bay of Qunte and probably early spring also...although I havent tried trolling in the Spring. They do alot of real slow trolling with their local lures...can get pretty crowded at times but great bunch of fisherman. Always willing to share tips and locations. Enjoy the board..you can pick up a lot of information on here..

Happy Holidays.

Frank / Daren..Since this is a Quinte board..I don't want to abuse it with questions about fishing L. Ontario..but..if either of you are willing to let someone pick your brain I could sure use some help! I fish L. Erie a lot and do well, but just started fishing the area around Grenadier Is. and Mud Bay this summer and can't do squat there. Be glad to share any info I can. Feel free to e-mail me at jstack5478@aol.com . Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Fishing is good year round from what the locals say. Superdad (QHOF Member) , HBL, Dan Elliot (Board Moderator) and a few others can likely elaborate on that a bit :!:

I concentrate my efforts on the fall for the simple reason, I'm too busy fishing other areas early in the season :!: No need to make the 2-1/2 hour drive that early :!:

Good luck on your quest :!:

Best maps for the Bof Q are the Hot Spot maps. You can find the contact for these on this web site. That's how I got mine. There are 2 maps for the bay of Quinte Upper and Lower. you need to get both. These are by far the best maps available. In my opinion at least.

Good Luck!!

BIG KAHUNA

I GOT MY HOTSPOT MAPS OF QUINTE AT THE "1000 ISLANDS BAIT SHOP". BEING FROM WATERTOWN, I'M SURE YOU KNOW WHERE I'M TALKING ABOUT.
