With this warm weather and some guys out for Lakers can anyone give a guesstimate when the walleye will be spawning? I hear the suckers are up in the back bays with a couple pike to follow does that mean the walleye are not far off and if Superdad is correct (50 degree rule) we will be running spinners during the opener?

I think it'll be early way early and heading to big water might be an option but I'm hoping to get into some big girls around the ferry this year.

Normal spawn, still lots of ice and snow up north. water temp is around 33.8. need low 40's for walleye spawn.
5 weeks till opener. my guess is in two weeks it will be show time. will be a week over by opening.
just a guess...

I think it's going to be a great opener. Fish will have spawned and hopefully will be in a positive mode vs neutral/negative. Warm water means more active imo

I have been down to the Moira 4 times now and haven't seen a single fish. Was there today for a bit by the courthouse... didn't see anything ! Water might be too cold for the spawn yet, would make for a late spawn.

They have been spawning here on Oneida Lake for the last 2 weeks. smaller body of water than warms a little quicker

I've heard they have been running now for a couple weeks. Saw some MBQ members suiting up to fish the moira river about 2 weeks ago.
