I just have to share this .I like fishing of the banks of Lake Ontario this time of year for Rainbow Trout. The spot i go to most of the time has a nice fishing hole in the creek near the mouth,it is closed for fishing there until the 4 Sat. in April when trout season open .Almost every time i been fishing there this year there been guys fishing the creek, and taking fish.I put the run on this guys all the time telling them this creek is closed for fishing ,sum leave right away other not so much, that when my phone come out and i start taking pics then they leave too.The part i want to tell people is after I got home I thought i call The hotline to report this ,I asked if the warden could put a sign up to let these people know the creek is closed, they said they see way could be done which make me happy. Then later i was looking at the logs on my phone the hotline # i phoned is in the USA Not CANADA ,just thinking where all the money we spend to fish goes if you have to the the us to report a crime :? :? :? :? :?

It was a few years back that all licensing and administration was put up for tender lowest bid one rights to all the work. It was a U.S. based company that came in with low bid on all the administration work for licenseing. It is definatly wrong that this was subbed out to a U.S. Company but that's our government for Ya! Good on you for kickin thère asses oUTta there!!

I don't think I have heard the term game warden used in long time. I know we have COs, and a variety of other staff in the MNRF, but you could always call the local district office as well to let them know to get signs up. They are the ones that usually go and put them out.
