Does anybody have any experience with these batteries?? I'm adding a second fishfinder to my boat and I am a bit concerned about putting too much stress on my starting battery. My main motor doesn't run very often when I'm fishing, so I'm worried about discharging the starting battery beyond it's capabilities and ruining the battery.

Thanks

Walleye 9, I believe if you use a good quality group 27 dual purpose deep cycle battery with 800 to 1000 CA you should be good. I run 3x HDS displays, two live wells, and a 100 watt CD player with no problems. I have a separate charger on this battery but rarely need to use it. The main engine 60A charge is usually good enough to top up the battery. I replace the battery every 4 years even if the battery appears good. The battery is very important. BATMAN

Ditto on Batman's comment but I would go group 31just for the extra piece of mind. I run 3 hds units, talon, bilige, livewells etc.... and never had a problem.
