My personal opinion 11 should take the cake. 14 should take the pike. Early spawn this year. A lot of big big fish should be gone and not full of eggs. It's almost hit and miss on the biggest fish. I can't wait to try to tho. I'm always like a kid on my birthday for opening say

with the huge pike in the bay, that is where I'd be setting my focus....

I can't believe how big the pike are in Quinte...and for the most part, they aren't even fished?!

I think if early spawn happened, as the experts are saying.
12.08 will be caught south of Amherst island.
My scanning trip showed very little in adolphestown reach.
May still be farther north, who knows. I do expect it to be a awesome opener, harvest rate is said to be 3x"s on a good ice season what it is vs open water season. Based on old data.

Yeesh. I should get a prize for getting the weight right at least! Hahaha
Tough go for myself out there. Two fish Friday night. Nice 5-6 pounders but nothing to tip the scales

Ah well. Better than sitting on the couch
