As I prep for the opener I perused the Kiwanis web page for the opener tournament and I noticed that there is no weigh station listed for the upper Northeast portion of the Bay. I fish out of Napanee and usually there is a station at Mohawk Bay Park or somewhere close by. This year, according to the weigh station map, the closest stations will be County Shores or Perfect View. A bit of a haul for those who rock tinnies with a 9.9.

Is this an omission by Kiwanis or is there just no weigh station for this area this year? Anyone more in the loop than I am that can shed some light on this?

Thanks and good luck lout there.

It's my understanding that your post is correct.

I'm staying at Mohawk Bay TP and since I've purchased my ticket on-line, if I want my hat, have to get it at County Shores. This is also the closest weigh-in to me.

Last year it was the same; having to go to CS to get the hat but they were out and had to go to Napanee Harbour weigh-in. Thankfully they had them as my Dad really wanted one.

Not having a Napanee River weigh-in is unfortunate and wrong IMO.

Good luck...

Cheers

How does 7,8,9 weigh station apply. I thought it was just in the bay of Quinte?

Technically anywhere in zone 20 but fish needs to be Alive at the scales.
