Buddy and i made it out today for a few hours to hit some of the weed areas. On the water at 10am off at 12:30, 8 fish 18" to 22" only picked up a couple of small ones. Most fish are decent size, or larger than i have seen in the bay this time of year. Never made it out of Belleville bay. All said and done, we released one larger one over 25" and bunch of smaller ones on top of our count.... walleye are on fire, its really good to see after the year we had last year, looks great for the years to come as well. There were a few areas where we picked up a few walleye where i have never seen any fish.... 7 - 10 ' and weeds.

good luck !

We had similar success on Rice Lake Saturday. 7-12 FOW and full of weeds. The water was calm and the sun was bright so we found the walleye were deeper in the weeds, not on the edges or outside. Same time of day also. We were on the water at 7 a.m but caught all our fish between 10 a.m and noon. Just goes to show, a walleye is a walleye no matter what lake you are on.
