myself and a buddy are going to try fishing in devil lake neither of us have been there any suggestions on where to fish. hopefully looking to hook onto a big pike

Wrong lake for pike. There are toothy critters but they aren't very populated in Devil Lake. Your better off trying any of the nearby Rideau Lakes for pike. If you are on Devil lake it is very clear lake with a lot of rock sholes that pop up here and there. Be aware that the locals protect the lake so any bay fishing will typically result in someone checking you out. Even with all the supervision the ministry finds lots of poachers year after year.

I fish Devil Lake quite often. It is ok for pike. If you fish the entire shoreline that runs along division, you will hit a few. A better lake for pike is Collins Lake near Inverary. Good luck
