Lake Trout Amherst Island June 14

With favourable weather conditions I ventured out at 530 am and headed out south of Big Bar Shoal. I initially worked 80 to 95 FOW with not much showing. Moved in shallower into 70-80FOW with several bait balls and streaks on the fish finder. With rigger set at 60' and dipsy at #3 and out 170 (both ran with spoons - hot lips moonshine and watermelon NK).I was able to have a good day going 14 for 16. Most fish were in the 12-20 lb range with big bellies. No pics as my dog hasn't figured out how to use my camera.

thanks for sharing - an idea for pix is a tripod with your timer, I know some fishers who have done that

I do have a tripod; however, sharing my space with the dog and all my stuff in a 16.5 ft boat and then throw in managing to keep the fish in release condition (not to mention dragging a second line which went off twice as I was managing the net)...well you get the idea..........I just thought it was best for a strong release to minimize fish handling time.

Well done!! Hard to beat a good day of Lakers fishing.
I can just imagine the chaos when fishing solo with 2 rods and trying to control
the boat while landing a 20 lb'r lol.

I can understand your situation, we had the same thing earlier this year with 4 lines out and double headers going into the wind.
