Seeking fishing info: Hay Bay--Bygotts Bay--Sherman's Pt.

We are planning a trip to Hay Bay Area (any areas within a 20 minutes boat ride of Bygotts/Thompsons/ Mallory/hay bay/ Sherman's pt) in early August. Any and all input would be helpful. We fished Hay Bay and up Long Reach to the Napanee River and only managed 3 walleye that were 3-4 lbs each. We landed about 50-100 small walleye that were all under 14 inches. Hoping for better success this trip. We jig (and sometimes troll) during the day and cast in the evening. Looking forward to some input from this forum. Thanks.

Another area I've had luck in August for eyes is the church. Every year I get some decent sized fish there in the dying weeds on either a 1/2 oz white spinnernaits with double willow leaf blades or a strike king red eye shad in chartreuse sides brown back.

We usually Launch from the Church and start out driving and jigging the weed lines around the church and Rams island. Then we try jigging Some Different spots (Bygotts/Thompsons/Sherman's point). We've only recently (Late May) headed up Long reach and jigged around the mouth of the Napanee river. Had luck there but all of the Walleye were 14 inches and under. Hoping for some bigger fish in the live well this trip. Thanks for input thus far. Hope you guys have some luck. Please share any other tips/input/pics if you'd like.

25 years ago there was a population of muskies in Hay Bay and in the fall you would see people trolling around Shermans and Thompson points. You don't hear much about muskies in that part of the bay any longer so can any body tell me about the state of the muskie fishery in that part or any other part of the Bay of Quinte. You would think if they were in any numbers there would be more catches or bite offs by the guys fishing late fall walleye. I do hear of some around the mouth of the Trent and the Bay Bridge.

bygotts Bay is next to Mallory Bay towards the ferry, nothing much happening here right now........well sheepshead and shad.

Pretty much all month, most shad I've ever seen here ever. Get a thousand seagulls even actually fishing for them.

Well we're hoping the shad move out by the time mid August rolls around. We've generally had luck within a 15 minute boat ride of the Church while drifting and jigging. Hoping for same results this time around. Back in May we had minimal luck fishing at night (8pm-1am). Two of the 4 nights were fish able conditions and we landed 3 walleye casting stickbaits. The other two nights the water was too choppy and it was way too windy. Hoping for some reasonable conditions at night as well.

Has ANYBODY been catching any 3+ pound walleye in a the past few weeks?? I don't want to make the 5 hour trip to Hay Bay Area and only catch 12-14 inch eyes. Just looking for an idea as to how the fish are biting. I don't mind hooking into a sheepshead or bass not and then but Were mainly there for the walleye and any input/info would be greatly appreciated.

EVERYBODY has been averaging 5+ pound walleye in the last few weeks with some in the 20+ pound range, pink jitterbugs seem to be the hottest lure, just ask Grizzly.
