I will be in the County mid August without a boat, and I am not too familiar with good spots along the shoreline.
I don't care what species, just want to put something on the hook!

Advice would be much appreciated.

August can be tough from shore, in fact the last 12 months have been tough period! The docks at Wellington and the North side of the Glenora
Ferry might be worth a try.

night fishing from the docks is always a promising start....casting cranks,and topwater bass....and walleyes will come close at night
