There will be a CLOSA General Meeting Wednesday Sept. 21st at the Carrying Place United Church at 7 pm.
20 Old Portage Rd, Carrying Place, On.

Guest Speaker will be Colin Lake, biologist with the Lake Ontario Management Unit at Glenora.
Topic - Status of Lake Ontario Trout & Salmon prefish. (alewives)
- Proposed 2017 stocking targets for salmon & trout. ("stocking cuts")
- Discussion and Q&A afterwards.
Basically the same presentation as the public information meeting at Port Credit Sept. 19th and Whitby Marina Sept. 22nd.

We will have a panel discussion afterwards about what was the hot salmon gear this past season and what was not, hosted by Gene Frederick and myself. Our team finished 4th out of 40 teams in the spring King Of Kings Tournament and we stayed with these rigs thru the summer producing a few 40 shot mornings. Also why the standard lures really didn't work that well until late in the summer. (forage size had a lot to do with lure selection and size)

Public welcome,
Hope to see you there,
Al

In the last few weeks I have had many questions in messages and emails about M. C. Rockets since the Great Ontario Salmon Derby grand prize winner was caught on a Rocket. If we have enough interest tonight I will answer all questions on when and how to run these baits. Many of us know these are big fish baits since Mike started manufacturing them in 2006.

Al
