Just got back from a super trip. 8 great guys and EVERY outing successful even for our first timers. Can't believe anyone thinks there is a lack of fish problem. Walleyes as cooperative as can be. Released everything the last few days and that was MANY. Only 1 fish in every 25 over 19 inches. Not one over 25 inches however. Most between 17 and 19. A great slot size for this time of year.
Most caught on spinner/worm combos. However Henry caught a few on Jamies jig. Jamie is a 9 year old girl who tied us a few killer jigs. After a giant sheepshead grabbed it he took it off so he wouldn't lose it.
We only fished 4 basic spots. At certain times they were good and at times they were useless. Best was Sherman's point, then Hay Bay church, then the green buoy at Ram's Island, and then Malloroy Bay around Thompson's point.
As a fisherman from those good old days I can truly say I never saw it better than now. Just get out on the weed edges and haul them in ! They are there.

John,

You've obviously hit the mark with your now famous Uzick spinners. I checked in with Superdad a week or so ago about how I could purchase a few. I'm planning a day trip down to the bay for some fishing with my sister from California later this month.
Do you sell your spinners to the public? If so, I would be happy to arrange a trip to where you're at and pick up a dozen in a few different colours. Feel free to let me know.

Paulie

Hi Paulie,
I'm back home now in PA. Just send a note to Superdad and I'm sure we can help you. The bite is really on. Got a call last night.
