Hey OldPrince,
You mentioned at the landing in the fall that you were looking for a 617 Ranger but were having trouble finding one. Well, while working at the boat show this week I asked the Ranger Rep if he knew of One that was around at a good price. www.ctboatworks.com has a 2001 617 DVS full winshield with 125 Mercury for $21,000 BRAND NEW! Duane says it has never been in the water and they need to move it. PM me if you want more details and I will hook you and Duane up to discuss everything.

Shawn - tried to send you a PM, but I'm not sure that it worked...

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm not sold on whether or not I want the full windshield (though it would be great at quinte in the fall). Unfortunately (or fortunately) I bought a cottage on Moira lake this summer and even $21000 US is a bit out of the range right now - by the time I get it back to Canada and pay the taxes it would be about $30,000 CDN and it didn't look like the boat had electronics or a trolling motor - not a huge problem as I could take the X-15 off of the old princecraft.

I missed out on a beautiful boat in Minnesota in December, nice white hull 2 pinpoint graphs and trolling motor with a 115 Yamaha 4 stroke. The guy wanted 19,900US and I offered 16,900 but he didn't get back to me. Another one is listed on walleyecentral:

2000 Ranger 617 135 Optimax
Absolutely Mint/Perfect condition. 98 135 Optimax, Maxxum 74 on bow, new batteries, new 330c Lowrance graph, rod holders, ranger cover, trailer has removable tongue. Ranger on board Charger. $15,900 Click here for picture
Location: Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
Date: January 13, 2005

I think that I could probably get it back to Toronto for about 20K CDN, but then it comes with no warranty...

I'm always looking, and I appreciate your post - thanks for keeping me in mind. If I can get off work early tomorrow I may swing by the show.

Mark

So Old Princecraft! Like when is the Texas holdem/fishing derby being held on Moira? Ready when you are!
