Who are you with?
Are you happy with them and their pricing?
Any claims issues?
Are you restricted as to how early or late in the year you can use your boat?

I have been with Allstate for a long time, great service on a claim long time ago.
Double checked today and can go out year round. Great rates as well.

Never heard about the lay-up period. Called my company, Johnson. They told me that as long as the boat had comprehensive coverage attached to my home owner's policy, I was good to go. While I had them on the phone asked about my ATV through the ice and again no problem.

Claimed a couple of windshields, other that that nothing.

Good rates when we signed up years ago. I checked a couple of on line quotes and they were quite a bit higher.

I'm with Pacific Marine via Harbour Insurance and really happy with them and my boat can be used year-round.

My previous boats had been setup under my home insurance and they did have restrictions during the winter season - not sure why.

Now you got me looking around.
Even with restrictions the other coverage replacement and temperary rental is pretty thorough.
