4th Annual Battle on the Bay CANCELLED!!!!!!!

Welcome to The 4 th Annual Quintefishing.com " Battle on the Bay" , to be held at Perfect Vue resort on Hay Bay Jan 21 2017 starting at 7:00 am til 12:00 pm with lunch and prize draws from 12:00 to 1:00

Here are the rules
1 You must purchase tickets and register at the Perfect Vue church hall in the morning before heading out on the ice.
2 All participants must stay within boundaries marked by orange flags
3 All fish to be entered Must be weighed by a tournament official
4 In case of a tie , first fish weighed wins
5 Cost is $20.00 plus a fishing related prize for the draw table

The competition area will be marked off out in front of Perfect Vue Resort and Campground and will be an area of approx 200 yds wide going across the bay approx 1/4 of a mile

Prizes
The Angler with the biggest fish wins ,The prize will consist of 50 % of registration fees and the Battle of the Bay Trophy. . In addition participants are asked to bring a fishing related item for the prize table. Names will be drawn for winning an item from the prize table. There will also be 50/50 tickets for sale. 50/50 proceeds and the remaining 50% of registration fees will go to support the Belleville Police, Cops Fishing with Kids Program. This program introduces kids to fishing and is well attended with hundreds of kids attending each year.

In the event of any rule disputes , Dan Elliot will make the final decision.

Joanne and Larry, owners of Perfect Vue Resort and campground have graciously offered their Church Hall for our use. We will use it for lunch and the prize ceremony. One important note is that ice cleats are not allowed in the hall

I'll bring the garbage bags and take the garbage away and will bring a chilli with bowls and spoons and someone from our group will grab a big bag of buns. We have 8 of us coming let me know what else we can bring . We are staying at perfect view Friday and Saturday night if you need anything done on Friday afternoon/evening to prep let me know.

10 of us are in the big cabin at Perfect Vue Battle week-end. 6 of us would like to participate in the tourney. I have a good size bbq that can be used for cooking. I was in the 2013 Battle and had a great time. Fished beside Tylercurt (Tim), he drilled my holes! Anything else that we can help you with , let me know, we are only 100 feet from the hall!

Ice fishing is not on the list of things to do but the event held on Hay Bay might have dragged me out to watch.

HOWEVER, the plane leaves for Cuba on Monday the 23rd, that weekend will be busy getting ready.

I grew up on the south shore by the old fishing shermans point with old man. Definitely my favourite place to fish

I am relatively new on this board, too, and I am interested in joining this "Battle".

Question: Would one needs to be a member on this message board to join this event? Another way to ask, If I join, can I bring a few buddies (who may or may not be a registered member on this board)?
