Has anyone been doing any trouting?
I spent the past week fishing back lakes in Bancroft and Apsley and it's been terrible. Fished two splake lakes, not a sniff. Fished a rainbow lake and one bite. Fished a brookie lake that is usually on fire and only got one dink.

Has anyone else been fishing them? How have you been doing?

Sent you another pm on the other site.
One thing I've found this year is it's all same year class on the stocked lakes. All fish same size give it take and inch and then next round of bites is all same class again just different year. Shallow again with just set rods has worked for me staying in 4-10 fow and within 20 ft from shore. Nothing better then sitting by a fire on shore having a coffee and then running to a rod

My trout excursions this year were rather uneventful, mainly recently stocked fish of smaller sizes....Hoping to do a few trips onto the ice shortly

Nice to see those brookie pics again Mike. They are awesome fish.

Any bait, or just a bare lure?

Cantcatchacold....this is my first local speck over 5lbs, spent a lifetime trying for that one, many that were close but this is the only one over 5lbs. I am sure there is one waiting for you, nice job on the specks you are icing.

Maple- caught on Cleo's tipped with a Dace.
