Hi Everyone, my little cousin is visiting from college this weekend so we are looking to hit the Bay (maybe if there is any ice left). I usually stay to the far west of Quinte and also Weller's bay. Since I am coming from a good distance could anyone give some info on atvs going on the ice on the west end and in Weller's. I wanted to hit County Shores but read about open water and I know my atv won't float. I am unable to go out without an atv as I am still recovering from my fourth shoulder operation so towing my gear and walking is out. I also would like to know who is selling minnows on the west end this year and what time they open in the morning. If you want to avoid some of the sarcastic remarks that have been flying around lately please PM me. I KNOW the rain is going to change things a bit in next couple of days but at least this will be a good starting point for us. Any good first hand intelligence would be great. Thanks.

I would not take an atv to wellers. I was out on Saturday and it was thick but sketchy and that was before this second go of mild temps. Locals may be able to give you a better idea of conditions but I won't be back there until temp drops again. As far as minnows go, I'm not too sure myself

You can try off of Potters Creek in Belleville. West end you can find it on google. With today and tomorrow cooling down should be ok.
Minnows at Lucky Plus Convenience & Gas is located at 22530 Loyalist PKWY, Trenton

Good luck.
