Any reports on ice conditions. It's a long drive from Ottawa only to find out that it is NOT SAFE! Any help would be great. Thanks HOG.

Sat afternoon we fished as close to the pressure crack as we felt comfortable (west of the launch). 5 inches of ice. Don't know how today's weather may or may not have effected conditions.

Fished Shermans yesterday walked over towards Willow Point. Around Willows Point the cat tails there was only 1.5" of ice if...I spidered under my feet & only took one wack with buddies spud to go through. We ended up fishing that side but more towards the middle, lots of perch one walleye between 3 of us.

What side did he go through on, launch or other side? I wouldn't be zipping around out there right now for sure.

ok. that is the launch i was fishing off....my bad! the one of route 9

i was there on saturday and there was a good stretch of ice that must have refroze. it was 3 inches near shore for about 15 yards or so, then it was 5-6 inches out farther. i guess it makes sense that he went in close to shore. glad he is ok
