We're planning on coming up this weekend since it sounds like ice conditions are finally safe in most places of the Bay.
Our trip is roughly 350 miles each way and I was hoping that someone could give me an idea what diesel fuel is costing these days in the Kingston/Deseranto/Belleville areas.
I know at home it's running about $.25 per gallon more than 87 octane gasoline which isn't making me a happy camper.
Hope the weather stands as predicted for this weekend and that everyone is safe out on the ice.
Thanks

That's quite a range. The only thing I can say is the flying J in Napanee or the pioneer in Napanee seem to always be up to 5-10 cents cheaper then everywhere else. What part are you coming from?

Sounds like you're coming from the USA since you're talking gallons. Around here, diesel is usually .05 to .10 cents per litre cheaper than gas.

Therefor, 3.78 litres per US gallon....would mean about .18 to .36 cents cheaper a gallon, depending on the price difference, or there abouts :!:

Cottager,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm driving up from Northeast Pennsylvania on Saturday morning. I take interstate route 81 up through New York, cross the border at the 1000 Islands, then the 401 to Deseranto. It's not a bad ride at all unless the lake effects snow is coming down between Syaracuse and Watertown, New York. If that's happening driving can take on a whole new meaning!!!!
So you and one other told me that Canadian diesel fuel has been selling for a lower cost than gasoline. Can you tell me what it's running for up their per litre and I'll do the conversion to a gallon to see how much the difference is.
The truck I drive is a Ford F-350 with 4 wheel drive and a large cap over the box and it will be loaded down so the fuel mileage is far from good especially when it's very cold temperatures.
Once again thanks for the reply and hope to hear back from you. Good luck fishing by the way and please be safe out there.

Billy,
Make sure you bring your VISA. Our fuel and gas prices are big $. Regular gas is around $.75 per liter X 4 = about $3.00 per Gallon Canadian. You can thank our wonderful government taxes for this.
Good luck fishing
Sheldon
