Well as Im sitting here its pouring rain and the ice I can see from my office looks flooded and slushy. I was in trenton yesterday evening and the the river was wide open and a number of Anglers had launched their boats at the launch behind the OPP station. Didnt see if they were catching them or not. I saw one guy at potters on the ice not very far off shore. I doubt there is safe ice anywhere. So with the last weekend before the season closes might as well get the boat out and try and some jigging or trolling. These last couple of years have been tough on ice conditions. Good luck to anyone going out

Living in Durham Region, Quinte is pretty much the only place I can ice fish for walleye within a decent driving range. I haven't been on the ice for the last 2 seasons. If next winter is like it has been for the last couple years, I might have a lot of stuff for sale next year...lol Although, on the other hand I work outside so the way above seasonal temps are kinda nice too. It was +21 degrees yesterday afternoon as I was driving through Hamilton/Burlington.
