Took a drive out to Athol Bay today to see water conditions after the Northern winds. No ice could be seen. Bring on warmer weather.

Thursday morning March 2nd drove from Belleville to Trenton bay was wide open all the way.

Where do you usually launch your boats? Wellington or can you get into Quinte Isle Camp grounds?

Wellington is a lot closer and you can start trolling right away if you wish.

Right on, probably start just off of West Point. I like the looks of the Salmon Point side. This year I'll be out there for sure!

I'll second the start trolling once out of Wellington suggestion. On several occasions I never made it to Athol because that stretch was so good.
