We were out off the center cross road . I caught a 10 pounder Sat. at 1:15 pm . It's back in the water . We caught a bunch of small perch , one 11.5" perch . On Sun. we caught a few small perch , one 10" perch and a 4 pound pike . So with the two perch and the pike we had enough for a supper anyway . The perch were bitting but only if you were rigged for them . We used small spoons and just small hooks with waxworms and small muds . We were a little caught off gaurd when we caught the big walleye while fishing with a small buckshot spoon and light gear set-up for perch . Seems funny that the walleye bite turned on midday in a lot of spots. Good weekend overall . Now I just have to get that nasty four letter word out of the way before I can get out again (work) .
