Snuck out with my daughter yesterday for a few hours. Way too nice of a day not to be out.

Left finkles at 1145 or so and headed for laker grounds south west of Amherst.

Set out a spread of 2 riggers, 1- 4 colour and 1 -5 colour core. Tried a variety of spoons on the cores but stayed with my usual on the riggers. Wasn't long and we had our first fish and proceeded to go 8/9 in the afternoon. All but one bite came off the riggers and ranged from 30-60 fow. Water temp ranged from 38-40 degrees. Back to the dock around 515 or so.

Fish weighed between 4-19lbs and all released safely.

Here's some pics of the day.

Walleyes are quickly approaching!

Good report - thanks for sharing. Saw your trailer at the ramp on my way back to town.

Nice to have a fishing partner like that.

tks for the report. Was wondering when they would be in the area. My 8 yr old got his pb laker, 8 pounds last year and is itching to beat it this spring. will likely give it a try this weekend and will post results.

Your daughters smile say's all, she will remember for a long time. and the time you spend with her will not be deducted from your allotment.

Well done BigMac - great to see your fishing partner is still enjoying trips like this - hope it remains a life time partnership because that is were family memories are made. Keep up the good work and hopefully we can soon see each other again on BOQ waters.
