Less than two weeks away from "Opening Weekend" and my first ever time participating in the Kiwanis Walleye Tournament. Have been traveling to Hay Bay Area with the family for many years. Wondering if I can get some information on the water levels/temps and launch conditions at the Church? Also wondering if it is legal To park on the side of the road after launching for the tournament, as the parking lot is small??? Thanks for any and all feedback. Good luck to all this tournament and this season!!!

Welcome to the derby.

Hay Bay Water and the whole BOQ is HIGH!!!!!! I would estimate that at my dock, the water is up over the cement pad I have at the bottom of my stairs down to the water. It is almost 6 inches over the pad.

I haven't seen water that high for at least ten years.

From what I have been reading about the Joint Commission on the Great Lakes, I believe the level will remain high for a while.

I will have a temp when I get my boat in for shake down run probably the end of next week, the dock has to go in first.

I would caution about parking on the road, some people might take offense.

Best of Luck.

Nice sense of humor, Superdad. Haha. Where can I park if launching at the Church or the Glenora ferry if the parking lots are full???

there is a nice ramp by the Adolphus town museum. lots of parking about 10 minutes from church ramp. Church ramp had a big dead tree across it last week.

The ramp by the Adolphustown Museum?? Is that the same as
The Glenora Ferry?? I hope someone can remove the tree from the Church. That's a popular launch.

Here's the parking by-law number. You can go to the Town of Greater Napanee website and read it for yourself. The big one's are parking too close to a driveway or blocking another vehicle. Signs don't have to be posted.

All parking by-laws are subject to tag and/or tow.

THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF GREATER NAPANEE
BY-LAW NO. 2014-0032
