I seem to have "lost" my duck boat during this high water event. It was behind my buddies place on the Napanee River on Monday evening and was "missing" on Tuesday morning. I'm not so sure that the high water caused it to drift away because it was on sawhorses, tied off to a tree and the plug was out. Nonetheless, it has gone away. The tall grass and weeds that are around the spot it was sitting do not show any sign that it drifted around before it "found" its way out. And it would have had to turn a few corners without coming up against something sturdy enough to stop it. Seems magical.

Anyhow, if found there is a reward for its return of 12 cans of the brew of the finder's choice from the Napanee Brewery or MacKinnon Bros. Paid upon return with no questions asked.

If the thing did meander its way out into the river, and because the plug was out, it may be floating around the area with only the top 1/8th visible. Please be cautious out there this weekend.

If you find it PM me and I will arrange for pick-up if needed.

Bill's boat was recovered from the swamp. Big thank you to Mike and his buddies who hauled it out and onto shore. I'll tell Bill that the boat was recovered when he's back to where there is cell coverage. Nice meeting you today Mike. Strap and reward will be delivered soon.

Hey Mike,

The "reward" and your strap was delivered today. It was around diner time so I didn't knock. I just left them in the location you suggested.

Thanks again.

Thanks Jay, :Like I mention no reward was required by I do know a few happy fishermen will gladly have a toast to the BOQ with the fine spirits which were offered! I sure would hope if I lost something off my shores that it to would be returned, thanks again and Cheers to a good safe fishing season on the BOQ!

So, the Jay-bird tells me that the ol' duck boat made its way home. Thanks to all involved.

It isn't an expensive craft but it was grandad's yacht and made its way to me so there was some sentimental value to it. Glad its back in port and that I can use it to get ducks back next season.

Thanks again to Mike and his crew.

Billy.
