Finally got out last evening for the third time this year. First trip was with my nephew and great niece. They landed one each, myself, skunked. Water was 49°. A little chilly. Last week got out to my favorite spot and got skunked. 49°still. Last night went out after dinner as the best hunt and fishing time was 4:30pm to 6:30 pm. Water finally warmed up a bit 58° to 60° in front of my place. Hit my go to spots and skunked again so I headed shallow until I could find weeds. Weeds 5ft down in 10fow. and I slowed my troll speed to 1.4 to 1.6. 7:30 and finally landed my first of the season, followed shortly by 2 more. All released to see another day. Still have lots of Crappy in the freezer.
