Got out on Monday with Perfectly Pat and headed past Thompson's Cove with 15 boats for Mallory where it was reported good catches on Sat & Sun. Well, we made a pass in the bay around the weed bed and over to Troumpour Pt - NADA!!!!!
Thought we would check Thompson's again but the place was still crowded, so over to the Church.
Made a pass thru the small cove west of the launch and picked up a 16 incher. Trolled past the launch ramp and PerfectlyPat yells "I think I have one" - the PerfectlyPat Pink lure had a nice 2 lb LM Bass.This is my wife's favourite fish and it was on the BBQ that night with herbs and spices and it was delicious.
As we trolled eastward, I had a strike and it was a beauty - 20 inches - a nice 3 lber.
Back to the dock - success.
I hit the water on Wed before we went to town, so I didn't roam far from Bayview, just SE of Ram Is and in the two hours fishing, I hit 10 walleye - all on the Orange Uzick and motor oil worm. Good fishing.....
Everyone at the dock had been doing well in Thompson's again.
The bite is still on - although a lot of culling req'd to get a nice bag for the table.
