Went out at 9:00 and threw the worm harness in. Must have hit him on the head. First fish in 30 sec.. Wasn't super fast, just nice and steady.

Fished all around Deseronto and Long Reach. Pretty much anywhere there were weeds, I would pull up a walleye. Lots of good size perch and smaller bass.

Everything in 6 to 8 ft of water and broken weeds patches were best.

Didn't keep count of the total but only one torpedo. The rest were nice fish.

Using a home tired worm harness and a plastic worm. Haven't used live bait since early June.

The fish were hitting hard, and fighting well. Had a couple of heavy strikes but they came off after a couple of second. I'm using smaller hooks so may not have had a good set.

Anyway, great fun and looking forward to heading out again.

I've had some very good success the past few weeks myself, fishing mainly Long Reach with Uzicks. Only fished Sunday morning this past weekend and had my limit in a few hours. All decent sized fish in the 18" to 22" range. The action now is definitely in shallower water, in and around weeds, as Roblin mentioned.
Had my dad (85 yrs. young) and nephew at the cottage a couple weeks ago, here are some photos:
