I thought I had cabin fever before. TSN is now showning the 2005 Bassmaster Trail. They were in Florida where in 2001 Dean Rojas had a one day total of just over 45 lbs, could you imagine. Talk about lots of money; they used thier own boats for the first three days and then the final 6 got in 21ft tritons that were fully loaded with systems that the hosts could talk to them anytime. How come we don't have that in the Quinte Series HAHAHA, just kidding Pete. Maybe then we could all go out to the Ducks and compete with Thompson and Burriss. See you next weekend on the hard water.

Jay,
I taped the show and yes very very cool.

I too am battaling a bout of cabin fever after watching the show and so to help control the fever I took a trip to Quinte Outdoor Sports at lunch. I was introducedto the new owner-Eric and thrilled to find out he's a bass guy and will be fishing the CFT and the Quinte Fishing Series. He said the bass guys will notice a change at the store over the next while.

With the Bassmasters show, like you, I thought it was pretty cool how they were talking to the guys live while they were running down the lake and the helicopters following them too. They sure do go all out.

You mentioned the Quinte Fishing Series. I am going to bring my digital camcorder in the boat this year and put some of the tournament weigh-in show on the site. By the way I was out at the ducks and didnt see Dean or Mike there.

Dan,
Yeah I only caught the 2nd half on Sat. but they replayed it on Thurs. at 12:30 so I taped that one and will hopefully be taping the rest of them. I will hopefully catch the CFT and get them on tape. I did not realize that there was a new owner at Quinte Outdoor. Hopefully things will change in term of selection and prices. I usually spend the extra in gas to go to Gagnons just because of the selection and a lot lower prices especially in spinnerbaits and plastics. Glad to hear that you are going to show more of the Quinte Series, I think the Series deserves way more recognition, even though it has come a long way since it started. Especially in the talent in fisherman. I believe that any one of us could do well in the CFT, the only difference is that these guys somehow get the summer off and can still afford to travel around and spend the money they do for entry fees. Unfortunatly as of now I will not be doing any tournaments this year. We blew the lower unit lat year in the first two dayer on day one but still managed over 16 lbs on teh trolling motor on day two. Well he decide to sell the boat for a motorcycle. I am from Belleville but live in Montreal and my wife I are starting to look for employment within the Quinte area. She says I can buy a boat when we move back so it will get used, so hopefully things will turnout because I am surely gonna miss the tournaments.
