Quinte Fishing

Hi Everyone,
I am planning on heading down to Deseronto next weekend for my first kick at the can at fall walleye. I've had luck (in the spring) trolling the telegraph narrows and trolling from Deseronto down to Hay Bay but I'm wondering if locations/depths/bait of choice may be different this time of year. Any tips would be appreciated.

I fished those spots today, big zero. tried all the combinations with only 2 perch to claim.. I spoke with other boaters at the dock with the same results.. the eyes are scarce the past couple weeks...

Appreciate the feedback. Any marks on the finder? I wonder if the bite will be any better Picton-Adolphustown or closer to Belleville? What do you think?

We marked fish not a tonne but some were there, a buddy tried Sherman's pt, Thompson Pt all the way to the ferry with down riggers, same results big zero. I'm guessing this crazy weather has the fish confused. There is also a lot of bait fish swirling...I'm going to give it a week to cool down and hopefully it will be better..

I was out yesterday as well, got three, 15" - 18", in first hour, real tight to weed edge, by 10am bite was over, even the perch stopped for a while, tried Thompson's & Sherman's Points found schools of 10"+ perch at both, only one other boat I talked to had any luck again tight or over top of green weeds.

As mentioned above, I'd say fish close to and on top of green weeds until the colder water kills them off. Once the weeds have started to die off the baitfish will move out. If you are marking bait out deeper then that is a sign walleye might be close by.

Been out a few times with some success, found the eyes in 10 - 12 ft on the weed edges. I was casting cranks and erie deries tiped with a worm.
