Quinte Fishing

Hi all. I have walleye fishing stats from 2001. Estimated population was 400,000 fish. Estimated to remain stable till 2006. Harvest breakdown was as follows. Netters took 4,000 fish. Mohawks speared 13,000 + gill netted 57,300. Anglers took 1,000 during winter + 28,037 in the open water fishery. Interesting numbers. Does anyone know of more up to date numbers + where to find them? I wonder what sizes of spawnings we've had since 2001? Why does the ministry of no information not publish this stuff? Also, if walleye grow approximately 4" per year does this slot size pose a potential problem in that years of unknown spawn sizes are being over targeted? Just curious." Good fishin", Al
