Did I get this tragedy right? Garmin The Terrible acquired Navionics The Great. Is this going to be the end of the best fishing and Boating aid we ever had???? Another North American company sold out to a foreign conglomerate. ?? Navonics is North American isn't it? lol

they say they still want to run it separately for garmin I just hope it dosent mean it will be harder to get mapping for other brand of chartplotters

They didn't buy Navionics to destroy 85% of the revenue and profitability. They bought it for that.

Should be no change. If anything you'll see nav+ etc bundled more with Garmin products for a competitive advantage for the hardware. But they're not dumb, they know where Navionics' bread is buttered.
