I'm sure it's been asked a thousand times so here goes 1001. Is this launch open till the snow and ice makes it impossible to launch? I'm guessing a bag or two of salt should accompany me? Is there launch fees after thanks giving? Thanks

Yes typically it's usable till the harbour freezes. I beleive there is a box for launch money. Careful with the salt the Internet environmental police will come yelling at you in the thread :)

But yes I always kept a bag in the truck and a snow shovel if it's going to snow.

Thanks for the info and pics. I will bring lots of weight in the truck to help get me up and out if need be. Nice looking ramp.

I'm not discounting that salt use is not preferred however if you think the salt used at a launch is going to impact anything compared to all the salt present in runoff in the spring (and early winter), then you'd better plant a tree spaced 10' in your yard. Sand is preferred but I'm not going to blow a gasket because someone has thrown down salt.
