Went last minute with Mux for some Quinte gold. Set up boards east of ferry, west of lighthouse and within an hour my inside rod fires. Great fight for a few minutes and the I feel like I have caught the other rod/line out on the mast board. Fish is gone and so is Macs brand new rod and reel. My fish went under the line and before we knew it Mux said its gone!!!! This is the reason for the late post, we had to break the news to Mac in person and tell him that his prize rod/reel is at the bottom of Quinte with the rod he lost of mine some ten years ago.
We fished all day Friday and pull out of Merlands on Sunday at noon. We went 8 for 10, I should say That Snarfy went 8 for 10 as Mux got skunk! 9 plus pounds was the biggest. All fish were caught on one inside line not on a board and DR Death was the lure!! Thank you DR. Kavorkian!
Hope every one has a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year! Hope to get out again but it might be on the ice with this cold weather
Snarfy

I'm glad you found some of that Quinte Gold. It sounds like you had some entertainment in your boat for a few minutes trying to get that first fish into the boat. At least you have a good story to tell. I'm sure Mac will be disappointed hear about his fishing rods new home at the bottom of the BOQ. But the good news is, Mac now has an excuse to go out and get some new gear!

Thanks for your report!

Cheers, Kevin
